The street of 31 September

Everyone knows that September has 30 days. Yet in Puerto Vallarta, in the Mexican state of Jalisco, there is a street called 31 de septiembre.

I discovered it while browsing Google Maps in a neighbourhood called Colonia Palma Real, where several streets have names based on dates.

At first I thought it might be a mistake, so I decided to contact the city council to confirm it.

The response was surprisingly helpful. They kept me informed of the administrative process until they managed to obtain a photograph of the street.

In the end it was confirmed that the street does exist, although it has no street sign.

The interest and dedication of the people who helped obtain the information made the search worthwhile.
