1512. Messejana gets the category of municipality.
The town of Messejana received from D. Dinis I the category of municipality , which would be confirmed by the "Foral Novo", obtained from D. Manuel I on that day . The municipality was extinguished on 24 October 1855 and integrated into Ajustrel.
