1918. Insurrection by the return of the territories annexed by Prussia.
Greater Poland Uprising was a military insurrection of Poles in the Greater Poland region against Germany, soon after the end of the First World War. Poles demanded, that the areas taken over by German, were given back to Poland, which regained its independence recently. The uprising started at 27th of December 2012. At the 28th of December German administration in Greater Poland’s cities and towns, including Gniezno, ceased to exist.
