1943. Bombardment of Saint-Herblain.
Formerly Tesserie path, the name of the village it leads. This road was named Rue du 16 Septembre in memory of the tragic September 16, 1943, when the municipality of Saint-Herblain suffered a terrible bombing that killed 10 people. It seems likely that the goal was to cut the railway line Nantes-Quimper. Twenty-two are the bombs that fell on Tesserie village, destroying it completely.Source: City
