When the Nazis arrested a resistant carrying weapons in the region of Chanteloup, he argued that the weapons were for everyone ("tout le monde"). On September 8, the Nazis conducted a raid surrounding the city and killed 17 people. (Confusion between "tout le monde" (everyone) and Toutlemonde commune).
