1866. Victory against the French in the Battle of Miahuatlán.

Oaxaca stayed under French domain in year 1864 and this lengthened little more than two years. The general dictator Porfirio Díaz captained the troops that on the day of the commemoration (Oct.,10 1866) defeated the French at the Battle of Miahuatlán. Few days after it defeated them again at the Battle of the Carbonera and in Puebla, on the 2nd April of the following year, retrieving the control of the city definitively.
