1983. Vilanova del Vallès (Catalonia). The town recovers the independence.

Vilanova was an independent town from 1936 to 1939. When finished the civil war a decree finished this autonomy and went to depending on Montornès and La Roca. A decree of the Generalitat de Catalunya approved on the 6th December of 1983 returned the condition of independent town in Vilanova. The Town Council was constituted the 12 February of 1984.
